The cover works, but installation can be difficult. The lip doesn't hold the pot in place, so you'll probably have to go around a few times to make sure the lid stays tight around the pot. It stays in place after installation, but it's easy to make the mistake of not fully installing it. I would use this lid with caution if I were to transport a pot of liquid in the car. It's easy to imagine how it will break if you trip over a bump or turn a corner. The lid remains flexible even at low temperatures in the fridge, so it can be easily removed even when cold.
