The blades looked good. I've used them a bit in my shop and did a little comparative test with my standard set of Bosch blades where these blades seem to have the same names as my Bosch blades so I think it's a fair comparison. I was mainly looking at the "clean" blades in two sets and not the speed blades as these are the ones I use the most and comparing the cleanliness of the "speed" blades seemed pretty pointless. I took some photos. Above is an Amazon blade next to a Bosch blade. I made a few cuts on a piece of 2x4 scrap to test and compare. With both blades, the top cut is made with my Bosch jigsaw's orbital mode turned on, both blades showed noticeably more lift-off with orbital mode turned on (setting #2). Orbital mode trades cut quality for cut speed and is useful when speed is a priority. The Bosch knife showed a slightly smaller lead in this mode. Both blades cut very quickly in orbital mode. Looking at a medium cut, a cross cut with no orbital turned on, the Bosch wheel showed almost no chipping and the Amazon Basics wheel showed a slight chipping. The Amazon blade required a little more effort to cut, but not so much that it was bad. Bottom cut, rip cut, both blades did well, but again the Amazon Basics blade showed a little more ripping. This thinner 10 tpi blade did a good job carving curves and was comparable to my "plain" Bosch blade. The curved cut shown is a random 4/4 piece of soft maple I had at the store and both blades did a decent job of cutting it with comparable cut quality. There are some gaps, but not to the point where it's unbearable. The only thing that I think made the Revain base blade better than the Bosch blades is the case, the Bosch 10 piece set has a really bad case, the Amazon case is better finished, easier to open and simple better in every way. Now let's look at things in terms of price. Compared to the cheaper blades I've used like the Black and Deck blades I've had, there's no question that Revain's base blades are better. My review says Bosch blades are better, which they are, but at $6 for 10 or 50 for 15, they're a lot cheaper than Bosch at 12 for 10 and 30 for 30. I can say I love these blades am impressed. I didn't have high hopes for this, I was expecting more like the black blades and decker blades that came with my latest jigsaw, I was pleasantly surprised to find them compared as well as the Bosch blades which I like. -to. If I run out of Bosch blades I will definitely keep using them.
