I love this vacuum cleaner. Works as well or even better than the fancy central vacuum system and accessories that came with our house. Super light and easy to carry and manoeuvre. I got this because I had shoulder surgery that was delayed a few months due to the pandemic, and our central vacuum's heavy hoses, nozzles, etc. were more than I could safely and comfortably use while I waited months for the surgery and the Reduced use of my arm and hand. Being stuck at home all day, every day with the whole family and having a big, constantly shedding dog, it could get messy fast and we had to vacuum more often, so I needed something that was lightweight, easy to clean and maintain. and would do a decent job. I didn't want to pay much either as I planned to use our central vacuum again once I recovered from the surgery. This vacuum cleaner far exceeded our expectations. The build chamber is easy to remove/reinstall, open, drain and clean with one good hand, the automatic cable tensioner helped a lot - it takes 2 hands to wind up the non-retractable cable and it was so light and easy to get around I could I could vacuum the entire 3 story house with ease, including 2 carpeted flights of stairs, and all I had to do was quickly tap my toe on the brush head or slide the vacuum controls. Thumb to switch from bare floors to rugs and soft/fabric items. I love the sturdy, adjustable length nozzle and how you can remove the nozzle and brush attachment, lower the dust extraction attachment and easily clean items like ceiling fan blades, HVAC registers, shelves, window sills, etc. It's quiet too. enough that it doesn't scare the dog and someone in the next room can easily watch TV. I would give this 5+ stars if it wasn't for a major issue. Apparently, Eureka discontinued this model when the company changed hands. There is nothing on their website about this model - no manuals, parts info etc, and there was nothing in the box that advised how to get a replacement for the foam filter or for the foam filter holder which has a permanent paper filter. . Both get very dirty and need to be rinsed out when the dirt bowl is emptied, or they will clog up with fine dust that will reduce suction power and eventually create a bad smell like every old vacuum bag you will ever empty. However, these filters, especially foam filters, don't get washed that often before they start to break down. If they don't allocate resources to these filters, they shouldn't resell the vacuum cleaner. I have researched and compared similar filters from other brands and other Eureka models and I will try another brand's filters which are almost the same size by cutting them to size and using new filter paper removed from the accordion , removed and glued on. pleated HEPA air filter filter, flattened and cut to size. Otherwise I will have to part with this vacuum cleaner when the original filters become unusable. What a waste of money otherwise it would contaminate the local landfill. Not to mention a real disappointment as we love this vacuum cleaner so much it's now our main everyday vacuum.
