It is 100% compatible with my MacBook Pro
I have not use the HDMI port yet, but everything else works fine. The SD card as well as the USB 3.0 work without any problems. I only have used it for two weeks, but it seems to work fine. The only reason that I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the short time I have used and the fact that I have not had the need to use the HDMI.
