Comfort then sound fails

I like Maxell products and they are priced right. This is the preferred shape for my ear, but no matter where I place the earbud, it causes discomfort after about ten minutes out of the shell. Even the sound is very tinny, which I think would be the best balance or base. The price was right, but the customer benefit was wrong.
