This case replaces the Griffin Survivor Case that I installed in January 2014, the day I got my first iPad Mini 2 bought with retina display. The plastic clips and rubber port covers eventually gave out - they ripped off or broke on the Griffin, prompting me to find a replacement housing. The first impression is disappointing. Front protection is not offered, so keep that in mind. The fit, finish, and general "feel" of this case is significantly worse. The edges/edges of the screen frame are uneven and do not adhere to the silicone frame, although they have been massaged to try and fit the frame perfectly. The built-in kickstand is cool, but feels even weaker than the Griffin Survivor (which didn't last long either). Overall I don't think there is any value in this product, since the Griffin was $50 in 2014 and $20 in 2021 I definitely got what I paid for - half the product for less than half the price!
