Very soft and warm. A little more than I expected, both on the legs and calves. If I pull my socks on tight, the heal of the socks will be slightly wider than my heals, and the top of the socks will be above the knees. I don't think this will be a problem, I just wanted to point out that if you're between sizes like me, you can order a size down (I ordered large when I was on the verge of medium/large) . . The socks are a bit thinner than other ski socks I've bought. They are still thicker than regular socks but not as thick as the last pair of ski socks I ordered (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W844QF1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) . I don't think this will be a problem for skiing but I will let you know if I have any problems when I'm on the slopes.
