With "Brightness from Start" feature (a separate brand name from "Brightness Booster" which I believe is actually a krypton filament that turns off after the CFL light comes on fully), this bulb gives you glow as soon as you flip the switch. No more waiting for the CFL to reach full brightness. We have been using them in our bathrooms and hallways for over a year with great success. We had to replace one where the CFL stopped working. The "Instant On" filament turned on, but turned off after a minute of full illumination of the CFL, meaning darkness. No longer sold in local outlets that used to sell them but found online here.
