There was a time when these would have been a quality American-made product. Now I am sure they are from China, but at least they are still a quality product.I really like these. They flex, but are plenty sturdy. They are breeze to read. Cleaning them is simple, and I'd say you can pass them down to your grandkids. The sleeves are pretty flimsy, so don't count on them making it to your namesake.One complaint, though minor. A tested the paint durability by doing a bit of energetic cleaning with some Goof-Off and a paper towel. The letters started giving up paint after about 30 seconds. Not a big deal for me, but it may be for some.It's tough to beat the price. You'll pay $8 for a couple of plastic school rulers at the local big box, and you will not anything this nice.
