Review on Mitutoyo 293-180-30 Digimatic IP65 0.00005 by David Elam

Easily the best microphone I've ever used. An extremely fast movement combined with a superior ratcheting thimble provides incredible repeatability and helps eliminate user error. There's nothing more to say about that. I've used dozens of mics and most of them are high end. It's simply the best I've ever used, not even close. B&S and Startett Nonius mics are fine if they have a .0001" grid, but they're just a notch below. To be honest I like the Mitutoyo Nonius ratchet mics better than the ones for the big mics simply because they are just as accurate but cost 60% less. Mitutoyo is made in Japan and you can count on it. Good luck knowing that all of your Starrett gear is made in the USA these days.
