Broke after a few uses. When I bought them I knew they wouldn't be super accurate calipers. And honestly, I didn't need a high level of accuracy, so it didn't matter. However, I need calipers that kick in after more than a few uses. Unfortunately this is not what I have. I bought these calipers about eight months ago. Now you might object that it's been a long time, maybe I've used them multiple times a day for eight months and managed to wear them? Not correct. I've used them <12 times in those eight months. When I measured something today, I tried turning them on and nothing happened. Don't worry I thought, I just need to change the battery! Wrong again. Fresh batteries did nothing. The device is really broken. I tried to contact the Neiko manufacturer. I realized there was no contact information, not even any paperwork that came with the calipers. So I looked it up on the internet. I looked around and came back empty-handed. Many websites sell Neiko tools but no Neiko website and no way to contact the manufacturer. So I signed up with Revain to see if they could help me get in touch with the manufacturer. Well, according to Revain, the return window has (unsurprisingly) expired, as has the customer support window for this product. So now I have a bunch of broken calipers and no manufacturer or dealer to talk to about it. . They weren't expensive, but I expect even my $20 products get used more than a few times in less than a year. I don't usually talk about this, but I strongly advise you not to purchase this item. Things happen and I don't hold companies responsible for the occasional defective product, but I do hold companies responsible for how they respond to defective cases. This company doesn't even seem to exist. Save your money for something better.
