Very easy once you get the hang of it and work with stevia, monk fruit etc.

I bought it for my grandchildren, five and three years old, but they are too small to really hold on, understand that you have to keep scratching the sides and bottom. No problem as I can make a nice soft batch in just a few minutes and if I keep adding some of my ice cream mix to the bowl I get enough for her and for me as they don't usually eat that much sweets which is little what they really need. I've found that the mix really starts to set on the sides as soon as you pour it. I pour in about a quarter cup and immediately start scraping down the sides and bottom with a small stainless steel baby spoon rather than the included plastic spoon since we generally don't use plastic items. The spoon doesn't scratch the surface and works great. As the ice cream thickens, I add more of the mix and go around the sides and bottom again and it all comes together and helps the new mix to freeze quickly. I make this 2-4 more times as I usually get a nice soft portion that I can serve to the kids right away. Immediately - less than ten minutes. I've read that this doesn't work with other sweeteners, but it works great for me with pyrue sweetener, an organic blend of erythritol and stevia, and it works with monk fruit powder. I haven't tried sugar yet because I don't buy sugar. I usually just use vanilla ice cream, but I've added cocoa for really good chocolate ice cream and cherries for cherry ice cream. It's easy to make the mixture and add whatever you want if it starts to get a little tough. I haven't tried sorbet or frozen yogurt yet. I liked it so much I bought another one even though the kids don't really like it at their young age. It's good to have one ready to eat in the freezer while the other dries. It's also nice to have a method of making homemade ice cream using stainless steel that rivals many store-bought brands. A little organic cream, organic milk, organic sweetener, a pinch of Himalayan salt, a little scraping and mixing and I'm a happy organic grandma.
