Overall this is a decent product. However, there is a lack of product information that could really help buyers make a decision about this product. First, the perimeter of the hole inside the flash ring is very small. It only fits a 55mm aperture lens. I had to get some step down rings to fit the larger lens. Even so, there may or may not be a slight vignetting around the image. Most of the time I get a round image when I zoom in. I have used lithium batteries and the incandescent refresh time is very fast. The projected lights are even; However, you must be close enough to the subject to achieve lighting effects. The term "Dual Intelligent" is misleading. There is only a small switch that allows you to toggle between flash ring and hot shoe. You cannot use both at the same time. That being said, a hot shoe flash is a good buy. It has dual articulations so you can point the flash in almost any direction, giving you more fun with your lighting.
