Review on Woodworking Sharpening Polishing Stropping by BeaverCraft: Effective Tool for Optimum Results by Jeff Dabney

Apply some pressure

This is my first carrier so I have no comparison. The only reason for four stars is that there are no real instructions on how to use it, I'll admit you don't need any instructions. I've experimented with several knives and at first didn't feel it did anything to improve the blade left behind by my utility knife and sharpener. At some point, I realized that if I applied a lot more pressure, it would work for me. I pressed the knife blade lightly, as if polishing my car. Since I'm using a polishing paste, it makes sense that some pressure might help. After that he left the blade on my SHARP Gerber. I've owned this leather knife since 2011 and I've never been able to make it as sharp as I can with this belt. Shit is sharp" as a final step. It also seems to be a good tool for blade mending as you can sharpen it without actually removing material and thus reducing the life of the blade. That seems to have been what I was missing when I tried to get a razor sharp status.
