Color is exactly as shown. The instructions are clear and simple. I had no problem putting things together and usually find it difficult to do such things. The chair is comfortable and fits perfectly in my living room. I actually use it as my gaming chair so I sit in it for a really long time and I don't have a problem with back pain or anything. It's firm rather than soft, so don't expect to sink into this chair. However, there is some depth to this.
