For my Sheltie puppies, I bought each one very large!?!? And they fit perfectly!?!? So be sure to follow the measurement guide and focus on what your dog needs most. As with my outdoor-obsessed dogs, I wanted to make sure the coat length covered them to the base of the tail. If your dog has a really thick neck plan for this measurement because the XL size should float on my pup but the neck is not stretched, the XL size is perfect for my shelties. Don't hesitate to buy these coats! They are the best I've seen there!
