Advantages: Good thickness and weight. It doesn't look like they move much. Another reviewer found them dangerous because they don't fasten with Velcro, but the mat fits snugly, which keeps the mat from moving too much on the driver's side anyway. Even if it's moving, the brake pedal is 4-5 inches off the floorboard and you depress it less than an inch to stop. I'm not sure how ANY mat can keep you from getting that much pedal travel. Cons: There is a slight rubber smell when first installed, but I think that will go away.
