My wife thought this was the cutest little thing she had ever seen. She wanted it mostly for the belt and leash. The straps are designed not to work well for this part. The chest buckle is too low, which I didn't notice when ordering. If you actually tried using this as a harness on a child it is not very secure and will ride up if they pull it at all. It would be much better if the chest strap was adjustable up and down. a backpack instead of shoulder pads and put it under his armpits. But it's a lot of work to make it usable. Maybe he'll grow into it a little better at some point, but it doesn't really help me now. It's really cute about him, so if seat belts aren't your thing, it might be worth getting. Another minus is that the adjustable part on the shoulder pads is not hemmed, so when loosened it can come out completely and you have to re-tuck it in. This is pretty easy to fix, just fold the fabric and sew together, but it should be done by now.
