Great option for charging a variety of controllers

I chose this product because I wanted something versatile, compact and unobtrusive. First on conspicuous; Many of the other options I found had large blue loading lights that lit up the room. Now I love this techno blue as much as everyone else, but come on, I just want something that will power my controllers and not distract the glow. This device does exactly that, no extra lights to indicate charging, just the regularly flashing lights on the controllers to let you know the charging status. The only thing I missed or didn't notice in the product description is that you can only charge 1 navigator and PS motion controller at a time. The front slot is for navigation and the rear slot is for PS traffic. You can charge your Dualshock/Sixaxis controllers in either or both of these locations. For Dualshock/Sixaxis controllers, you need to attach an adapter (2pcs included). The adapter is tight enough that you can just leave it on your controller at all times. It goes well with the black controller and doesn't interfere with the game. Then when it's time to charge, just pop it into either slot. The only minor issue I find here is that when you look directly at the device and charge the PS motion controller, a small tab gets stuck. in front of the rear charging slot that covers the charge indicator on the PS Move controller. The bar is actually what holds the Dualshock/Sixaxis controller for the rear loading point. Likewise, the Dualshock/Sixaxis controllers are pointing away from the front of the device, and you may not see the charging indicator pointing forward. I personally don't have a problem with this as I usually leave my controllers charging overnight and don't want to constantly know if the light has stopped blinking. When you need that boost, turn your device slightly sideways or choose one of those big blue glowing things. So a great product and solution to charge 2 controllers at the same time. It is powered by the AC adapter so the USB port is not used.

Pros
  • Snap-In, Drop N' Charge design ensures proper charging
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
