First I deducted a star because there was hair in this unit when I opened it. It should be NEW, disgusting! I've had a Remington for 3 years. and the battery is completely empty. I wired this unit to make it USB compatible and will do the same with the groomer after about a month of good use because I'm a survivor and spend 6 months out in nature every year and couldn't find a plug. However, I only used the male groomer this morning but tested it pretty well and here are the results. First I shaved my head and it was identical to Remington, even seeming to gain strength from it. I was really surprised how well this works so thought I had all the hair to try it so I moved on to the belly and chest It started out really well then slowed down and made noises like they were clogged ( Remington never did) so I combed them out and kept going but the noise was still there so I decided to use some Remington. Oil on and back to the running, this thing just screamed through my thick thick hair with no problem. I didn't notice any noticeable difference in blades or hand position. The cutout and everything else was identical to the Remington. Bottom line, Groomer Man has added some oil to your products and at this price you will win the market. I am very happy with this purchase so far except for the product used. I will update if anything changes. Update, I never use bits and this thing is shorter than the Remington, love it.
