Review on Design Engineering 010460 Reflect Reflective by Mike Pettigrew

This material does not reduce temperature. I have a simple test case with a hair dryer, a metal plate under the seat of my van with a reflector printed on it, and a thermometer. Heat builds up for several minutes on the side I want to protect. How will this shield conduct heat away from the motor? I get what you're saying, aluminum reflects heat etc. But my goal is to keep the engine heat out of the van's interior. It was a bad buy and a waste of money. I can't understand how the reviewers say it works. Can spirit triumph over matter? An additional layer of 1/16 inch thick fiber may work if the sweat blankets work. Although I've never used them and haven't personally verified it yet. Tunnel screen with massive aluminum and pulp works. Review.
