I like the readings and settings of the thermometer and the fact that it's digital. I've been making Christmas candy for over 40 years and have had an abundance of thermometers. a little more specific. Made brittle peanuts and got it to 300, hard crack, but brittle peanuts were light in color, not golden. It appears to be off and reads hotter than it is. Therefore, I recommend the manufacturer to calibrate it again to perfection. I would only recommend this for experienced confectioners and not beginners.
