After hitting a few bumps in the road and noticing the 'Service Engine Soon' light came on in the middle of my drive, I was concerned I would have to take a day off work to to get my car checked and repaired. Thinking I could at least save some time and money by knowing exactly what was wrong with the car, I ordered an ANCEL AD310 Classic Enhanced Universal OBD II Scanner Car Engine Fault Code Reader CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool - Black https: //www.amazon. com/dp/B01G5EA74I/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0. I was hoping to find out if the problem was serious enough for a professional to fix or if I could fix it myself. I used the scan tool as soon as it arrived and immediately the tool gave me an engine fault code and description. It turned out I had a "fuel vapor leak" which could have been caused by a loose gas cap. Sure enough my gas cap was installed incorrectly and a day later the engine computer was reset and the fault code cleared! I could easily spend $200 just to have a mechanic tell me my gas cap wasn't installed properly so literally within an hour of the scan tool paying for itself many times over! I definitely recommend this product!
