I just needed a hand mixer that reliably fulfilled the basic functions. It looks like this blender can do that and more, but only time and use will tell how well it does its job. The description here says 400w but the packaging says 300w for the 240v version. There is no wattage listed for my 120v model. My only concern is whether the motor can handle the load and keep running. I put physical strain on the beaters, which slowed the mixer down a bit from full speed, but the motor continued to run well without getting too hot. There are runtime limitations in the instructions which I will try to follow. I doubt this time will cause problems in real life with the usage I expect. If I needed a blender for long term use I would go with the full size KitchenAid blender which is over the top for most of what I need. This hand mixer is relatively lightweight, simple and easy to use. The addition of a dough hook and whisk is a good thing, although I've never mixed heavy bread with a hand mixer and I think that loading would be difficult for anything smaller than a regular mixer. All attachments and cords fit neatly into the clear container that contains the blender for storage. There's even a drawstring neckline for a perfect fit. There is a lot of plastic in the mixer, also in the socket where the nozzles are inserted. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm curious if it affects the longevity of the blender. Concentricity on attachments is not perfect, but not bad either. There is some hesitation in the same vein as many hand mixers. I don't think it affects functionality. The eject button releases the tips well and is easy to insert. 5 speeds are enough for all my needs. The turbo function boosts all speeds except speed 5, which appears to be the highest speed the blender can produce. I like the turbo button for a temporary speed boost. It's not the best hand mixer I've used, but for now it seems good value for money, offering all the usual mixing features at a reasonable price. Price. That's all I wanted and the blender came with some extras too. Well!
