Review on πŸͺš Enhance Safety and Efficiency with FastCap SAWHOOD WHITE Chop Shop Saw Hood for Woodworking by Mike Mitchell

Mediocre saw guard which robs you of flexibility when working with a miter saw

Overall I am very disappointed with this saw guard. The crate was damaged in transit and there were no instructions on how the support brackets should be assembled or how they work. The hood looked like it had been used as it was quite dirty and the material was lumpy in places. Contrary to the photos, the top didn't look like a pretty tent when assembled. I improvised with 1/2" PVC pipe and cut a U-shape at each end to expose the tent frame for learning. When the saw is working at an acute angle, it will stop its movement by countering bumps into the side walls of the guard. I was very disappointed that the saw guard used the clamp mounts on your saw to hold the guard in place. I don't want to sacrifice the features of an expensive tool for handling sawdust. Maybe that's the only thing Good thing I can say about the hood, during some basic test runs when cutting wood at fairly basic angles sawdust didn't fly all over my workshop.
