I bought this because my screen was black with no signal but the backup sensors worked fine and the lines on the screen followed my steering wheel. I also noticed that the reversing camera worked fine with the ignition on but the engine off. I set this up as advertised and now the rear camera works (it turns off when the revs drop to idle and the screen has really bad haze/lines) but sometimes turns off to look like a normal screen (rear indicators work however not I am reversed). I can't say it helped, I just shifted my problem in a slightly larger direction I think? I think this will solve your problem if you already had an image and it was just blurry/lines
