My Podiatrist Approves

I was wearing Vionics with orthotics but they were wearing out and my foot was starting to hurt. I've had a long history of problems with my left foot, after laser resurfacing, orthotics, and some oral steroids to relieve the pain (not to mention steroid injections from another orthopedist a few years ago). Therefore, it is important to me to buy a good pair of shoes. I tried New Balance and they killed my feet (pain and also my left foot tended to clap). I've tried SAS shoes and while I can wear them, they've never been really comfortable. I was skeptical when I received them but with the roll bar, lace up closure and big toe I decided to give it a try. They felt good when I first put them on, but after a few hours my feet were killing me. However, I knew they needed to be broken in. After about 3-4 days of limited wearing time, I was able to wear them all day. Now after about 2 weeks I can feel the cushioning and they are quite comfortable even with my aching feet. I threw away my other worn pair of Vionics, donated another pair to charity and will buy another Brooks Pain any day. I will also buy another pair (white) to work as a nurse (I teach nursing so I'm on my feet a lot). These shoes are well made, they are approved by my orthopedist so I am happy with this purchase.
