We discussed several different seats (front or rear) and settled on this one for a number of reasons: 1) The adapter makes it easy to fit the seat between my bike and my husband's to change bike (or not have a seat at all) 2) The reclining function is good because my daughter often falls asleep on the ride 3) We were afraid our knees would touch the front seat 4) The seat will last a long time Height/weight 5) The Incline and the footrest are very easy to adjust. The seat slides in and out of the adapter in seconds, allowing us to remove the seat while transporting our bikes on a hitch mounted bike rack, and reinstall it when we arrive at our destination. The back seat makes balancing a bit more difficult, but you get used to it after a while. The recline is only a slight tilt (think airplane seat) so we sometimes have trouble tilting our daughter's head forward, but so far it's been fine (she usually fixes it herself). With the 3-point belt, getting in and out is child's play, even with a bicycle helmet.
