First, let me explain that my cat is severely allergic to fleas and all insect bites, as well as all known skin allergies in cats. My cat also has SEVERE OCD issues (probably the only cat that really needs a psychiatrist and needs head meds in those areas). it is possible that he itched 10 times more than when actively biting. After so many days of severely scratching and biting himself, not only had he created a beautiful army of hives, but he had almost managed to pop a few and also had the skin on two spots on his neck quite badly torn deep, and now he was there was no way he was going to leave her alone. What am I doing. After spending many hours after many days searching and researching what kind of cone or donut would work best for his weird itchy congenital mental butt (yes, he's a really famous redneck from West Virginia. His mother is his aunt etc etc but SOMEBODY had him to adopt lol the moral of the story is NO DIVORCE ON THE FARM!with rave reviews and photos to prove it i was convinced it had a real chance of tackling lego's incessant scratching and bought it well arrived in the It's late afternoon and it's almost 2am so it's been about 12 hours on it and now it serves more as a source of entertainment than a real barrier between him and his angry hind legs, he can easily injure his neck, face, ears etc . scratching . with his hind legs.. One of the reasons I tried this donut was because the problem is someone is reporting ate that his cat needed a procedure on his cat's ear and that his cat didn't have to scratch it and it worked for her. Now I'm not sure if these reviews are even honest as it only took Lego 2 minutes to scratch their neck. I've tried binding it in different ways but to no avail. Now I'm giving it two stars because he likes to use it as a pillow and it protects him from some injuries but not the ones I really need. If you are looking for something to stop your cat from licking after spaying or neutering, yes this will 100% work for you. However, if you need to prevent your cat from being scratched on their neck, ears, face, eyes, nose, cheek, etc., this is NOT for you! I wish I knew. I now believe this can be used after a few tweaks. I will update if I end up making changes and they are successful. All in all, it's great in theory, but there's a reason why some things require a cone, even though it's considered a cruel and uncommon feline punishment. I agree that the cone is pretty cruel, but when there's no other choice and you either have to watch your cat contract a very serious infection from a minor, preventable injury and die an agonizing death, or an uncomfortable medium (but fun) use skittles. On top of them I personally would NOT go with that poorly designed donut and opt for a cone. Please buy with care!
