Review on Better Houseware Ironing Holder 1425 by Alan Estell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Updated and improved hanging method

I was thinking of writing a review for this OE because I almost bought it based on some complaints from other reviewers. I was looking for something inexpensive and simple that would allow me to collect all of these items in one place and get them off the floor. I've read reviews of suspension problems due to "shackles" instead of bolt holes. Also the fact that the arms of the iron holder aren't wide enough for the bottom of some irons, especially if you wrap the cord. But I figured since it was a free return I'd give it a try as it seemed good value compared to some of the other options. I was happy to see that they changed the suspension option from an arch to a screw hole so I didn't have to fiddle around to attach it with washers and screws like others have done. It really wasn't wide enough for the bottom of my cord-wrapped iron. However, I have found that when I insert the iron tip downwards, it works perfectly. I gave it 4 stars because the mounts need to be further apart to accommodate larger irons. I'm glad I found a workaround that made this holder great for me.
