If anyone had ever told me these pens were budget dollar pens I would never have believed them. They fit and harmonize wonderfully. It doesn't smudge, wrinkle or peel off. They work well with Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils. A light touch is enough. The pigmentation is perfect. Remember these are oil based pens. I was expecting smudges and smudges and got absolutely nothing. When photographing the painting I colored, none of the pencils had to be sharpened. They're still sharp enough to create another page. Suitable for both beginners and experienced artists. I highly recommend. I bought another set for my painting buddy. +!
