So I have a standard size straightening brush and it worked fine, down to little frayed tips popped up and scratched your head. It's also very big and heavy. This one, on the other hand, has no rubber tips to fall off in the future and is lighter and smaller for travel but almost normal sized when open. It has 5 temperature settings and claims to remove frizz with ions. Pros: * Travel - It folds down to a handy travel size of 6 inches (excluding protruding wire) and 7.5 inches (including protruding wire). and it won't fold anymore. The unfolded comb is 10.5" and the connecting cord is 83". To fold the brush, simply push the handle to unlock and fold it. There's no lock to keep it closed, but on its own it's fine. The cord is long enough not to be tethered to an outlet and has a standard two prong plug. but my hair was still curly. Yes he straightened them but no matter how many times I use them my hair is still frizzy. This had the same effect as using my regular straightening comb which doesn't claim to remove hair. Conclusion: * Well, after testing everything, I definitely recommend this hair straightener. You don't even need to buy a regular hair straightener and a travel straightener as it's big enough to use for both. So you only need this one. If you're looking for a straightener that reduces frizz, this isn't it. There was no difference in curling when using this straightener compared to my regular straightener. It's still a very good straightening iron and still quicker to use than a regular straightening iron. It burned my hair, as did my other hair, so extra points for this one. This will also be a great gift. I would be proud to give this as a gift as it has everything an expensive product needs with no price tag. I really like it and I will use it every day.
