Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ G.SKILL Crystal Crown Keycaps - Transparent Layer Keycap Set for Mechanical Keyboards, Full 104 Key, Standard ANSI 104 English (US) Layout - White by John Invert

Impressive keycaps - sounds silly but they really skip RGB!

Overall I rate these caps very well. They don't change the feel of the keys much since they are keycaps. They sound a bit harsher than the standard double ABS I'm used to when typing, but that's not a bad thing either. This is probably because the crystalline part is made of a harder plastic, which causes resonances when the key is pressed all the way down. I personally love this as I'm using a Cherry Black push button switch which operates linearly with no clicks - the keystroke sound on the plate is almost clicky now which I really like! Good - RGB for a few days! All of your beautiful RGB lighting is displayed on this keyboard. I use a white base keyboard so the RGB is amazing! My Cherry Blacks also have a transparent switch housing so the light really gets through. The bad - well I don't really have much to complain about - other than the fact that for some reason my kit had 2 Windows keys instead of FN (it would seem odd, but whatever). On the TKL keyboard I also have the FN key which is NOT included. The set is a full set of 104 keys, but the typical 104 layout does not have an FN key. It would be very desirable if it could be added to a future set. This can be seen from the gap in the image attached here. Side note: many TKL keyboards use FN + another key to perform functions like volume up/down/mute, RGB adjustment, etc. which are shown on the factory keycaps. While no one can know exactly what you need on which keys, it might be a good idea to add some stickers or something so you can remember what those functions are. It's a bit picky, but now I really need to memorize those keyboard shortcuts. Fur. Otherwise, this is a great keyset and I'd recommend it to anyone who knows keyboard keysets, keyboards in general, or who wants their keyboard to do crazy RGB levels (assuming it can be lit well). tl ; DR: transparent key bottoms = lots of RGB lighting. The lack of an FN key is a little sad, hardly annoying, but not enough to stop me from suggesting you buy one!
