I bought two of these projectors (for the Epson 705HD) because they were "good value for money". The first exploded about 7 hours later - like loose glass exploding in a headlight; I checked the filter, which was a little dirty, and put in a second one. That went on for about 15 hours. My projector has run about 2000 hours on the factory bulb. This may be a case of a "compatible lamp" which may not be standard for that particular projector. Not surprisingly, that was also the opinion of Epson's tech support (and what else could they say - we should have bought our lightbulb, it sucks). I ordered an Epson factory lightbulb; will update this if it works better than this one.
