The joystick was really appealing to me. The fragrance is the one thing that detracts from the overall impression of this device. The stench of silage, farm, and cow manure filled the apartment after the package was opened. The device's sniffing revealed that the wire was the smell's source. My eyes started to moisten at the scent of the wire. It seems that the Chinese have discovered how to produce wire from cow poo in order to lower the cost of production. I fought with myself for a week to keep from throwing away these joysticks (I got two, one for my son and one for myself). Ordered through Amazon.Ru, so there is no way to take it to the store. They sat on the balcony for two weeks and withered; the outcome is nil. I rubbed with half a bottle of vodka, but that didn't help either. This led me to open both joysticks today, unsolder the wires, and solder fresh ones (from the printer and the digital camera). Now that you have this joystick, playing your favorite games is no longer smelly or require a gas mask. Here is a link to a photo showing how it appears. Jpg
