So I've never made candles before and decided to make custom candles as a project. It was a lot of fun and easy, and the instructions were very clear! Except that I needed non-standard colors. So I found out that Crayola crayons are the best way to get what I need (use the regular ones! After a trial run with the gel and glitter options, I found the originals were the best). But the smell of the pencil is just unbearable! Maybe I just didn't use enough oil or didn't apply it at the right time, but none of the scents were enough to overpower the crayon smell (Note: I didn't actually use the regular colored wax they provided) . -- I needed bright blues, pinks and blacks, so using colored pencils is best. So it might work for regular soy wax, but I haven't tested it yet.) I've bought additional essential oils elsewhere and plan to add more oil next time just to make sure my future candles don't smell like crayons. =
