My hairdresser advised me to use a good clarifying shampoo weekly because I use a lot of sticky styling products. I didn't know what to take but this brand seemed good. The reviews were good and the price reasonable. The shampoo practically does not foam, since it does not contain sulfates. I know shampoo or soap doesn't have to lather to do their job, but I enjoy seeing lather. However, it cleans SIGNIFICANTLY because it removed all the product and a lot of my red highlights! It felt like my head was bleeding. My highlights are not that new. They are about a month old. Regular shampoo won't fade them, but this shampoo almost completely washed out the color. If the goal is to get rid of accumulated or transient paint, this material works well. If you want to keep your color, especially if it washes out easily like red or purple, be careful. You can see your paint (and the money you paid for the paint work) go down the drain. Despite this, my hair is much softer and cleaner and I can tell the difference. But I don't think I'll use it often. In my opinion it is better for undyed hair.
