Unfortunately I bought this hoping it would work with all my older netbooks so I could battery power them (one of which has a TDP of 4 W) . Atom processor), and it's not. I knew it was a gamble and figured it might come in handy in the future to replace a phone cord or USB powered hard drive or speaker even if it doesn't work. At $9 it was worth the risk, but I think the claim that this will charge your laptop is a gross exaggeration. If it can't power an Atom chip, it will most likely fail with a Celeron, Pentium, Athlon, E-Series (as well as the tried and true E-Series), or whatever. If you're looking for a cable to control all your portable devices on the go, this is a good price, but don't expect miracles, it's just a twisted pair USB power cable.
