Not ideal for motion monitor

The reason I didn't like this monitor and ended up returning it is because I bought it to make sure my baby was moving/breathing in your bed. My husband decided to test the motion sensor by placing a heavy book on the crib's mattress to see if the motion sensor would work and it didn't. He just felt the weight of the book and didn't worry us. I don't need a monitor to tell me if my baby is in the cradle. I also don't like the length of the camera cable. As a result, you do not have enough length to place the camera over the cot. If you buy this monitor, I suggest spending $30 more and get the wireless version. Also, this camera does not allow you to zoom in or out on the camera from the mother screen. I have another much cheaper monitor that has these features with no problem. Turning the motion alarm on and off was also tedious and wasn't fully explained in the instructions. The last thing I didn't like about this monitor was how slow the touch function was on the portable motherboard's screen. It's laggy and takes a few taps to get to the settings to toggle motion on and off.
