They really can be used on old plastered walls!
They are easy to use and as long as you don't put them in the patched area they work great on my plastered walls. Much better than nails and less damage to screws with Molly. They also have a decorative look, although I still prefer them to my paintings. I'm also happy with the different sizes and each size seems to hold the weight. I don't think I will use anything else.
