I use this 50 gallon terrarium as a habitat for a 6 month old dwarf hamster. So far it hasn't been fantastic! The assembly was a bit difficult. The instructions are vague at best. I definitely need to watch the tutorial videos more than once to complete the setup. There was also more than one instance where I still managed to assemble something incorrectly and had to redo the section. Once completed, the terrarium is simply beautiful. It's beautiful, durable and very heavy. Find a place for it and stick with it because moving it around is impractical. Even if you are able to support the weight yourself, the general shape of the terrarium requires two pairs of hands to support it. If you are considering this for a hamster, don't hesitate. The size is perfect with over 12 inches of vertical tunnel space and plenty of room for accessories. The wire ventilation grilles are great and ensure perfect airflow. You will not be disappointed!
