I gave it two stars instead of one because of the cute pattern. I needed some medium sized Fiskars scissors and thought they were cute. As a Fiskars brand, I had no doubts about the quality. They don't open smoothly, which is what I expected from Fiskars. They "stick” when opened. First I wanted to squirt them with some Pam to see if they would open smoother. Examining them further, I found that the problem was that the pattern's rough coating on the inside near the screw was preventing it from running smoothly when you opened it all the way, so Pam didn't help. I bought them for me, not a child. Returned - very disappointed with the quality.
