Review on ESSLNB Monocular Infrared Recording Surveilla by Daniel Delgado

Revainrating 4 out of 5

General Good night vision monocular

Overall Pretty good night vision monocular. Pros: 1) Pretty long range night vision, not too difficult to figure out how to operate the features. 2) CAN be powered by a USB power bank (which significantly extends the runtime before charging). 3) The photo/video quality is pretty good day/night (when shot on a tripod) 4) It was really nice to see the included lens caps, power and video out cables/bag/and soft case Cons: 1) The included manual is pretty much useless (but at least gives you a general idea of things). 2) Because the picatinny mount is just above the thread of the tripod, the normal tripod mount screw is TOO HEAVY. SHORT to make it work (not long enough to get to the threads). However, a 1/4" bolt trimmed to size WORKS perfectly. 3) The time/date stamp is shown in very small RED text on the bottom left of the screen and is very difficult to see. 4) ALL the buttons are on top and do NOT protrude much (if at all). This makes using the monocular very, very difficult (if not impossible) at night in total darkness. My impression (and the main reason I did it). I give not giving him 5 stars) IF the buttons on the top were more prominent (a little easier to find in the dark) I would probably give it a higher rating as my fingers can't feel everything inside (diabetics).

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
