I love these things for working outdoors. I'm talking gardening, woodwork and of course jeep work. After years of buying durable leather work gloves for outdoor work, I tried them on a whim. I've never used gloves to fix a car. i will do it now Nice snug fit and leather palms and fingers (on the inside). They are much less bulky and uncomfortable for other outdoor activities than regular leather gloves. And they don't harden over time like leather gloves. This is the only brand of gloves of this type that I have used and been happy with, but since the price has gone up 20% I might try other brands. So far I have only used these gloves. They look pretty solid to me. While they are not as durable as leather gloves, they are more delicate which is why we use them when working on our vehicles. They also don't protect your hands as well as good leather gloves, but that doesn't bother me. Yes, I sometimes get a shard or a thorn from a rosebush, but that's acceptable to me. When a serious hammer or band saw situation arises that could seriously injure your hands, these leather gloves don't help any more than this. I prefer to have these guys for better agility. I bought two pairs. After a year and a half they are almost worn out (holes appear on the fingertips) but I was so impressed with them that I bought two more pairs. Don't think I haven't used them a lot in the last year and a half. I have made. Although they're finally starting to wear a bit, they're still in good enough shape and I haven't started using the new ones I bought yet.
