Maybe because I haven't read the instructions I basically assume you step on it because it calibrates itself automatically and it works like your previous version. And while green/red is a nice feature, it's not needed, and if there's more than one, it's entirely unnecessary. My biggest issue is that the auto calibration wasn't obvious. If you move the scale (which we have to do because the bathroom is small) you have to touch it once or it will go up 4 or 5 pounds. (Yeah, the first time I stepped on that thing I had a little heart attack thinking I'd gained a lot of weight over the weekend). Unfortunately I have to get used to it. Sometimes people try to make crazy changes to things that don't really need fixing.
