Not the best wireless keyboard

Let me first say that vendors that have several Listing versions of a product on the same page making it very difficult to see reviews that relate to the version of the product you are actually looking at. This keyboard and its ratings apply to both wired and wireless versions, with and without a mouse. The products are similar but not identical between wired and wireless versions. To clarify, I have a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. The keyboard itself is different in terms of its main functions, size (maybe a little small but I was looking for a compact keyboard) and ergonomics not bad. No key switch display, no LED or anything, sometimes annoying. (Apparently the wired version, or an earlier version included in the reviews, has an LED indicator.) There's no separate numeric keypad (I rarely use it) and a function key to access some functions that the 'normal' " keys are assigned. Again, text is what I do most of the time, including programming, so it works well. That is, it would be if it worked. After a few weeks he started having "seizures" where he couldn't register keystrokes while spitting out a few keys at the same time. Sometimes I can get it working again by removing the batteries for a few minutes, but it keeps happening, usually when I'm busy typing or coding, which interrupts my train of thought (at least). The mouse doesn't get that hot either. Sometimes it doesn't run well and seems to get stuck and doesn't slide smoothly across the surface. Sometimes I get bored and go back to my old wired USB mouse. Keyboard and mouse battery life was very good (haven't had to be replaced yet and the batteries worked fine). I've replaced them with new ones long enough to determine that the batteries weren't the problem. Not that battery life matters, considering everything else. So I knew it was cheap when I bought it. Now you know why. Now I'm looking for the best option.

Pros
  • MINI KEYBOARD - Black Mini Piano Keyboard (12.6" x 5.55" x 0.98"). It comes with a 5.9ft cable and USB plug-in and play interface supplied. This is enough to connect to a computer, whether it is on the table or under it.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
