I bought this for my Nissan Xterra knowing it was made for a Jeep. It's really well made and it would be pretty easy to install on a jeep. The Rotopax team informed me that other customers have purchased the mount and modified it for their vehicles. My rating is based on use for a vehicle other than a jeep that required some modifications. Modifications included cutting and drilling new holes. Because this bracket is so strong it took quite a while to cut out these new holes with a drill press! Rating: Great for Jeep. It needs a bit of work to modify it for another car. It would be nice if Rotopax made these in the form of universal mounts for more vehicles.
