Review on πŸ”’ Cruiser Accessories 81230 Locking Fasteners, Domestic-Stainless: Secure Your Ride with Reliable Stainless Steel Locks by Kristopher Tight

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Sigh. not as pictured

I've bought a few of these in the past (both domestic and imported cars) and they worked well so when we recently sold my wife's car I forgot to remove the security bolts ( they just ripped off the old tag and gave it to her) i knew i had to buy new ones. I was a bit concerned about several reviews stating that the "home made" version was not a self tapping screw as shown in the picture but more of a flat end machine screw, but I noticed that these reviews are from a few years ago came from. back, so I hoped her experience was just a repaired long-term coincidence. Got screws yesterday. nothing like the picture. And of course they don't work on my car. I will buy something else. A word of warning to anyone whose car requires pointed/self tapping screws, assume they will not work for your application. Note: if they *worked*, some of the old allen keys I got with previous sets I ordered don't work with the new bolts (which others have pointed out have a too low center pin and probably the torx key being the right size can remove it with no problem.Another reason I should have ordered something else.
