Works very well. I know this is a candy/frying thermometer but I bought it primarily for cheese making. What I didn't realize is that you can't clearly see temperatures below 100 degrees Fahrenheit. That wasn't a big deal as it's pretty easy to estimate temperatures below 100 degrees, but keep this in mind if you want to find exact temperatures below 100 degrees. use. Everything I've done with a thermometer to measure temperature has worked fine.
