I am by the water a lot and due to COVID my hands are washed far too often to count. I was looking for a lightweight titanium watch strap when I came across this resin strap. I like to wear the watch on the free side so I can place it on my hand while typing or when the watch is in the way and then drop it back onto my wrist where it's comfortable. I hold it tight enough that I don't roll around the entire perimeter. I tried rubber and silicone but they stuck to the skin. I have quite a few nylon straps but when they get wet they hold water and take a while to dry and forget to clean. It was a hot summer and the metal bracelet was almost twice the weight of the watch head, which was a nice thin 42mm 100m automatic movement. I tried the canvas but it just got wet and stayed wet and the leather is no better. This resin bracelet has all the advantages of metal but is feather light and won't rust. Another feature is that you can. Wash it as often as you wash your hands. Good luck trying to deCOVIDize a different type of watch strap than the SS strap. I was concerned that it's plastic and might break, but how strong does a watch strap need to be? I'm very careful not to knock on my watch, so I didn't see how problematic plastic can be. I washed it, soaked it in alcohol and it survived. So if you are looking for a lightweight watch strap that can be washed with your watch and your hands, then this is it.
